We had an awesome time on May 17, 2013  at the Folger Shakespeare Library, 201 East Capitol Street, SE, Washington, D.C.  I was thrilled to read with author Adam Mansbach, and  poet Clint Smith. The crowd included a great gathering of friends. Thanks to all who came!

May 18, 2013 at 10am I read from Meeting Bone Man at the Gaithersburg Book Festival. The Festival is at 31 Summit Street, Gaithersburg, Maryland. It was my first time reading with poet and friend Yvette Neissor Moreno. Thanks Yvette!

June 1st, 7pm, I will read at Queering Sound, Pyramid Atlantic Arts Center, 8230 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, Maryland.

June 30, 2013, at 2pm, I am pleased to read again at the Writer’s Center in Bethesda, Maryland. This reading is also part of the Goethe Institute’s Translation program.

July 12, 2013 at 7pm, I am thrilled to be reading again at Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana. The reading will take place in Dalloway’s on the Saint Mary’s College campus. I will be reading with local poet & friend Jacquee Dickey. 

July 21st at 5pm at Busboys & Poets, 14th & V Streets, NW, will be the Washington, D.C. launch for Gospel of Dust, my second book of poems. I’m grateful to Sarah Browning and Katy Richey for hosting the launch at the Sunday Kind of Love Reading Series. I’m honored to be reading with friend and poet Truth Thomas.

July 27th at 5:30pm I will read at Giovanni’s Room, in Philadelphia, the nation’s oldest GLBT Bookstore. I’ll be reading with Dan Vera, author of Speaking Wiri Wiri. The store is located in Center City, Philadelphia at 1145 Pine Street.

August 3rd at 3pm I read at DC’s  OutWrite Festival with my friend, poet Niki Herd. The reading is at The  DC Center at 14th and U Street, NW in the Reeves Building.

August 7th at 6:30pm I’m honored to be reading at the Enoch Pratt Free Library in Baltimore, Maryland, as part of their Poets & Conversations series. The Pratt Library has a magnificent history, terrific librarians, great outreach. It’s a treasure in Baltimore at 400 Cathedral Street.
